Spiritual Warfare is REAL!

I’ve been meaning to do a post on this for some time but I’ve just been putting it off. I had to speak on this topic but I’m not sure many people believe in it or truly understand the seriousness of it. Spiritual warfare is alive and well and we are not really fighting the battle the way we should. Are you feeling conflicted about some things in your spirit? Do you not have peace in your mind or in your home? Chances are this is a result of spiritual warfare. Are you willfully committing sin over and over again when you know better? Are you listening to secular music all day? Are you spending basically all your time with people who don’t really honor God with their life? Spirits are real! Even in the Bible we are told that we did not come to fight flesh and blood. Are you having premarital sex? Do you realize you are exchanging spirits with this person and that you are taking on their characteristics? Are you unequally yoked with someone who is a nonbeliever? Maybe you’ve had a child with them and you wonder why it’s not peace in your home or just your life in general. The reason is simple, good and evil are Waring against each other, and until you get rid of those evil spirits, you will not have the peace and blessings you are looking for. I’m not saying to never commit a sin or don’t even speak to someone that is not Christ like but I am saying, guard your heart. I’m not saying you should never listen to any R&B or rap or that you should condemn yourself if you have a slip up in your celibacy walk but I am saying if you leave a open gap, the devil will come in. Plenty of people are out here everyday Waring in their minds with these spirits, trying to do right but these demons in their mind keep attacking them. With knowing this fact, I say treat everyone kind, you never know when their negative demons could rise up and overtake them. Also, be careful who you are talking to, associating with, and definitely who you are allowing to lay hands on you. Just because someone says they are a believer, does not mean they have good intentions. Always remember that it is much better to be alone than in corrupt company. Try to purify your home and your mind and guard yourself against these evil spirits. God cannot speak clearly to you or freely move in chaos.

Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself! You’re Doing Just Fine! (Feeling So Sad?)

Why are we so hard on ourselves? In reality, we are our own worth enemies. The world does enough tearing us down as it is why do we also do this to ourselves? I try to make it a point to be kind to everyone I meet just because we do not know what people are dealing with in their personal lives or even in their head. Anxiety is a real serious issue that many people have that are too hard on themselves. I can tell you this because I’ve been depressed before, I’ve felt anxious before. That feeling when you care too much about everything but still have no strength to get out of bed. Then you ask yourself why am I feeling so sad for no reason? Trust me, I’ve been there. I am here to tell you that if you are there now, you don’t have to stay there. Everyone of us has gone through something or you may be currently going through something. No matter what your situation may be tonight, trust me when I say God is the answer. He can do anything! I mean anything! Ask him for his help, don’t try to carry those problems alone. Also while you are praying and seeking God, don’t be afraid to seek profession help. There is nothing wrong with talking to a therapist if you do not want to talk to someone you know. Trust me you will feel so much better. Even if you’ve made a mistake or a poor choice still don’t be hard on yourself. God forgives again and again. He is not looking for perfect performance, he wants your heart to be perfect towards him. Know that in this life you will fail, and you will disappoint people and yourself, and that’s okay. As long as you know you are giving 100 percent, know that is all that matters. The devil likes to play these tricks with our mind to make us feel inferior and keep us down with things such as anxiety and depression. Know that God can take those feelings from you and heal you if you ask him. He is only waiting for you to seek his help with the problem. Just remember that God loves you and nothing you can do or not do can earn his love, it is given freely to all. So love yourself with that same love, ease up and allow yourself to make a few mistakes. Sometimes it takes going a few steps down the wrong road to help you realize the right one exists.

A few tips for overcoming anxiety and depression:

  1. Pray and Seek God
  2. Stay Busy
  3. Hit the gym
  4. Talk to Someone
  5. Ignore the Negative Comments of Others

These are just a few tips to overcome some negative emotions, I hope they help you. Please feel free to drop me any questions or comments on this topic. Also check out the links on my home page and follow me on social media.
